I made a datavisualisation about the story of Romeo & Juliet.
I have looked at the depression of Romeo and juliet. I found that their behavior was very similar to depression of young people.
I made an organization chart. Each branch was followed up by a scene, act and finally a symptom of depression. The symptoms were based on the symptoms of a depression from young people. They are sorted in less severe depression to severe depression. I made two charts, one for Romeo and one for Juliet. This allows you to compare them well with each other.
I made it a interactive visualisation with D3.js. So you can hover on a symptom and a quote of the scene will appear. You can also filter on different symptoms. Click on the link below to see the interactive visualization.
